Health and Safety Policy

 

Tidy MT Services Pty Ltd is focused on providing a high standard of safety for all employees, clients and site visitors on site.  We endeavor to provide a working environment that minimises incidents of risk or personal injury, ill health or damage to property and equipment.

We do this by:

  • Ensuring potential risks are identified, assessed and controlled.
  • Providing and maintaining suitable equipment for the safe conduct of cleaning services.
  • Providing staff with the information, instruction, training and supervision they need to perform their work safely and without risks to their health.
  • Ensuring that chemicals are stored in accordance with the manufactures requirements and hazardous chemical regulations.
  • Ensuring that all chemicals used by Tidy MT Services have Material Safety Data Sheets available in cleaners storage areas.
  • Ensuring all staff members are responsible for their own health and safety.
  • Maintain information and records relating to employees health and safety.
  • Providing staff with the required PPE to reduce exposure to hazards. PPE such as gloves; safety glasses and fully enclosed leather shoes with slip resistant soles are standard requirements with additional PPE used as required.
  • Ensuring staff report all injuries, hazards and near misses, as well as all damages to plant and equipment.
  • Ensuring the equipment used by staff is in safe working order and tagged and tested as specified.
  • Explaining company policy on zero tolerance for working or driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, or being aware that another employee is working under the influence and failing to bring to stop them or bringing it to the attention of management.
  • Explaining safe lifting and carrying procedures through the Manual Handling Policy.
